HOW THE CENTER WILL WORK
The center will be open to the general public 5 days a week. 15 social workers, psychologists, addictologists and psychotherapists will work there.
All of them will provide FREE individual and group therapy to children and adolescents aged 11 to 18 who:
- Have any psychological problems such as anxiety, depression, aggressive tendencies, eating disorders, self-harm, can’t handle stress and more.
- Suffers from non-substance addiction, which includes addictions to phones, social media, gaming, gambling, pornography and other addictions.
We also provide so-called follow-up care for those who have been discharged from a psychiatric, psychotherapeutic or rehab hospital and need support or additional therapy in everyday life.
Social workers will be available at the center to help children stabilize the situation in the family and at school.
But even parents themselves who need help with a their children’s problem they don’t know how to deal with or just want a quick consultation can turn to social workers.
FOCUSED ON GIRLS
The center and its staff are there for all teenagers who have psychological problems or struggle with non-substance addictions.
However, we focused a large part of our work on girls who have specific needs for solving difficult situations.
We specialize in:
- Eating disorders,
- Self-harm,
- Body shaming,
- Sexual abuse trauma,
- Conclusion,
- Disorders of social relations,
- Demotivation, loss of interest.
The center does not provide needle exchange or other harm reduction methods.
HOW IT LOOKS LIKE NOW
From June 2022, the center is under construction. All work and equipment is financed thanks to small donors and local companies who care about the fact that teenagers have quick access to quality psychotherapeutic care free of charge.
We will be in operation from January 1, 2023
GROUP THERAPY
In addition to group therapy, there will also be open groups throughout the year, which the teenager can join or leave at any time. There he will meet peers who are solving the same or similar problems.
Thanks to psychotherapists, addictologists and other participants, they will discover that they are no longer alone.
CHILL OUT ZONE
There is a club in the center where teenagers can spend their free time safely. Find new friends, play games, chat with the center’s staff or ask them for advice on problems.
Center has an individual comfortable room providing quiet privacy for doing tasks or just “being”.
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Adolescents will have the space to use the time of psychotherapists, addictologists or psychologists just for themselves. Therapies are fully anonymous.
Their goal will be to get to deeper contexts, better understand them, accept them and sometimes even find suitable explanations or solutions.
WE HELP PARENTS
Social workers and therapists will help parents of teenagers set up a routine at home. They advise what to do and how to behave in critical situations. They will be available by phone or chat for consultation.
Even parents will no longer be alone in their children’s psychological problems and addictions.
